Key Objectives

The side event entitled “Online Facility-Level Greenhouse Gas Emission Management System in Viet Nam: Enhancing GHG Inventory Quality and Mitigation MRV” will convene representatives from state regulatory authorities, international organizations, enterprises, and technical experts.
The primary objectives of the event are:

(i) To present and evaluate the implementation progress and operational outcomes of the online facility-level greenhouse gas (GHG) emission management system in Viet Nam.

(ii) To provide a formal platform for technical exchanges and knowledge sharing regarding advanced methodologies to enhance the accuracy, consistency, and transparency of GHG inventories, as well as the robust establishment of Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems for GHG mitigation actions at the facility level.

(iii) To deliberate on capacity-building requirements, facilitate private sector engagement, and promote institutional and technical cooperation between Viet Nam, Japanese partners (OECC and JICA), and other international stakeholders.

 
※Mr. KATO Makoto, Member, Board of Directors, OECC will participate as a speaker and panelist of the seminar.
